We developed the Design Center for this application for Microsoft with ZentropyPartners, a division of McCann-Erickson. The Design Center is the configurator that allows visitors to customize their home media networks, across multiple rooms, with a wide variety of hardware. This application begins with an interview for the user to create his/her own basic home settings, and then enters a studio in which each room and each product is featured. The application also contains the logic to process many product-based rules (such as "Product A must be in the same room as Product B" or "if the visitor picks Product C, Product D is unavailable") and integrates with the commerce engine on the server when the order is complete.
